About the Department

The Department of Information Technology offers cutting-edge undergraduate programs, including B.Tech. in Information Technology, B.Tech. in IT – Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality (ARVR), and B.Tech. in IT – Data Analytics, designed to develop strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Students benefit from hands-on learning in modern labs, industry projects, and internships, as well as opportunities for global certifications, research collaborations, and start-up support. Key USPs include flexible and hybrid learning, a tech-focused campus environment, specialized placement training, mentorship for entrepreneurial ventures, and exposure to emerging technologies such as ARVR and Data Analytics, preparing graduates for successful careers in IT, innovation, and emerging technology sectors.

The department offers industry-aligned Minor Tracks that enable students to specialize in emerging domains. The Data Engineering track includes Foundations of Data Engineering, Data Modelling with NoSQL Databases, Big Data Systems, Stream Processing, Business Analytics, and Data Visualization and Storytelling, providing students with the knowledge and practical skills required to develop scalable data-driven solutions.

Through lab work, projects, coding exercises, case studies, and internships, students learn to solve real-world technology problems with practical and scalable solutions.

The department focuses on building communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills essential for early-career success.
