About the Department

The Department of Biotechnology at Alliance University is committed to nurturing the next generation of biotechnologists equipped to address global challenges in health, agriculture, environment, and industrial sustainability. It offers both undergraduate (B.Tech.) and Ph.D. academic programmes. The department enhances students’ knowledge through cutting-edge technological integration by combining biotechnology and life sciences with artificial intelligence, data analytics, and engineering. This interdisciplinary approach prepares students to address modern scientific challenges and contribute meaningfully to innovation and research.


Our department is supported by a team of highly qualified faculty members with strong research backgrounds, international exposure, and expertise across diverse domains of biotechnology like Enzyme and Microbial Technology, Tissue Engineering, Plant Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Infectious Diseases and Proteomics etc.  The department has initiated efforts to establish advanced research laboratories in all the thrust areas. Apart from fundamental research, the department aims to meet the targeted demands to cater the requirements of biotechnology-based industries.
