Brief Overview

Bachelor of Design (BDes) - Interior Design

Immerse yourself in the world of Interior Design, where creativity shapes spaces and brings them to life. This four-year undergraduate programme offers a dynamic blend of theory and practice, with a focus on transdisciplinary learning. The curriculum emphasises sustainable living, technology, and socio-cultural awareness. Students learn key aspects of interior design, including layout planning, spatial understanding, 2D and 3D modelling, materials, construction, modelling, and project management. The programme also nurtures aesthetic sensibility, enabling students to create functional and visually appealing spaces by mastering styles, colour schemes, furniture, soft furnishings, and trends. This comprehensive approach equips students to design spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical, sustainable, and adaptable to future needs. Access to live-sites, industry professionals, makers-spaces and experienced faculty facilitate hands-on, collaborative learning, enabling students to fully explore the potential of interior design not just as a discipline but also as a professional practice.
