GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION PROCESSES

  1. Students must participate in the Alliance Selection Process (Admission Process) to be selected for any of the Programs. Post selection, the student must register for the programme to be eligible for applying to the Alliance Scholarships.
  2. Candidates can apply for scholarships only in the first semester. Candidates may download the application form from the university website and submit the hard copy of the filled in applications along with the required documents to the Office of the Registrar (during first semester within the specified date). Late submissions and incomplete applications will not be considered.
  3. Candidates may go through the guidelines and those who fulfill the eligibility criteria for award of scholarships are required to submit the applications.
  4. An applicant is allowed to apply for the scholarship only under one category / discipline. Only a single scholarship can be availed by a student for the entire duration of the programme.
  5. Scholarships are subject to availability. Students will be awarded scholarships on first-come-first-serve basis within each category that they are eligible for.
  6. Students must continue studying at Alliance University for the entire programme for which the scholarship is offered. The scholarship cannot be deferred or transferred.
  7. All the details provided by the student in the scholarship form must be accurate. If the information at any point of time is found to be incorrect/ insufficient, the scholarship, if granted, will automatically be cancelled.
  8. Scholarship applications only determine students eligibility to apply for the scholarship. This in no way guarantees that the scholarship applied for will be awarded.
  9. The Alliance Vidya Spandana scholarship committee will assess the eligibility for awarding the Alliance Vidya Spandana scholarship.
  10. Scholarships are applicable from the first year of the programme. To avail the scholarship for the first year, students must have no backlogs in Semester I and II and must maintain a minimum CGPA of 6.5. The continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years is strictly subject to the student maintaining an academic record with no backlogs and a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in every semester throughout the duration of the program. If a student fails in any semester or if the CGPA falls below 6.5, the scholarship will stand cancelled effective from that academic year onwards. (Not applicable to Alliance Vidya Spandana Scholarship & Sports Scholarship).
  11. Students should not have any gap/ break in academics during the programme.
  12. Students should not have indulged in any activity which attracts disciplinary action; if so the scholarship will be withdrawn.
  13. Performance only in qualifying entry level examination held in the two previous academic years before admission will be considered.
  14. Continuation of the sports scholarship in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory contribution to the sporting activities of the University. Scholarship applicants will be awarded based on their past academic excellence, financial need and extracurricular activities.
  15. The scholarship committee shall evaluate each application and communicate the award after a personal interview / review of application.
  16. The final list of scholarships granted for all Programs across categories would be announced post commencement of academic sessions. For the students who would be awarded one-time scholarships, the amount would be adjusted against the last instalment, as per the fee payment schedule. However, for the Ph.D. candidates, alumni scholarship will be adjusted on annual basis, as the duration of Ph.D. programme varies from minimum of three years to a maximum of six years (excluding two additional years on re-registration).
  17. The decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final and binding and no appeal will be entertained.
  18. Scholarship will not be applicable for UGCET, COMEDK and PGCET students.
