About the Department

At Alliance University, the Department of Fine Arts nurtures the creative potential of every student through a balance of rigorous training and open exploration. We emphasize collaboration and dialogue alongside the focus of the studio and the freedom of choice offered by the larger university. Through our ethos, curriculum, and program offerings, the Department of Fine Arts engages students in highly experiential learning, building expertise and experimentation through critique, process, and concept.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting and Sculpture is a four-year professional undergraduate program designed for aspiring artists passionate about exploring and mastering traditional and contemporary art practices. This course provides a rigorous and dynamic curriculum that fosters creativity, technical proficiency, and critical thinking through hands-on studio work and theoretical engagement.
Students begin with foundational courses in drawing, design, and art history, and gradually progress to specialized training in painting and sculpture. The program nurtures individual expression while grounding students in the principles of form, material, composition, and conceptual development. With access to well-equipped studios and mentoring by experienced faculty, students experiment with a range of media, from oils, acrylics, and watercolors to clay, wood, metal, and mixed media installations.
Through exhibitions, critiques, workshops, and collaborative projects, students gain exposure to diverse artistic approaches and professional practices. By the final year, they develop a personal portfolio and a capstone project that reflects their unique artistic voice and conceptual depth.
Graduates are well-prepared to pursue careers as practicing artists, illustrators, sculptors, curators, art educators, or continue with postgraduate studies in the Fine Arts.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
