We are part of India’s premier youth development organisation — the National Cadet Corps (NCC), established under the NCC Act of 1948 and administered by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Often referred to as the second line of defence, the NCC plays a vital role in nurturing disciplined, motivated, and socially responsible citizens.

NCC is a powerful platform for students to build character, leadership capability, physical endurance, and a deep sense of national responsibility. Through structured training, camps, community engagement, and adventure activities, we shape cadets for civil society, corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, or the Armed Forces.

NCC Legacy and Structure

A National Institution with a Proud Legacy

Headquartered in New Delhi, the NCC operates through 17 Directorates across India, supported by Group Headquarters and units nationwide. The organisation also runs two premier training academies — the Officers Training Academy, Kamptee (Men) and the Officers Training Academy, Gwalior (Women).

The NCC flag reflects its tri-service character, symbolising the Indian Army (Red), Indian Navy (Deep Blue), and Indian Air Force (Light Blue). Seventeen lotus flowers encircle the NCC crest, representing the 17 directorates, while two golden dots honour the two Officers Training Academies.

Training and Activities

Training the Mind, Body, and Spirit

Basic military training in drill, parade, and small arms.

Regular parades and ceremonial training.

Annual training camps, adventure camps, and trekking expeditions.

Naval, air, and specialised wing camps.

Social service and community development initiatives.

Participation in national events and awareness programmes.

Certificate examinations as part of structured NCC progression.
